Q. As an example, what is the cost breakdown for a 3-night stay "in-season"?

Q. What time is check in?

A. Self check in is at 3pm or anytime afterwards (Palm Springs Cottage has a digital front door key punch).

 

Q. Can I bring a pet? If yes, how much will it cost?

A. Subject to prior approval from the Owner, yes to a dog, no to a cat.  One 25 lb dog per visit is allowed at $75 per visit.

 

Dog may not be left alone or unsupervised on the premises at any time, unless crated. Guest agrees that if the Owner receives complaints about barking dog(s), Guest will board the dog for the balance of the Guest's stay.  Guest agrees to walk animals (whenever possible) off the premises in order to reduce wear and tear on landscaping.  No animals are allowed on any of the furniture, especially the beds.  Should the animal defecate and/or urinate on the premises, Guest agrees to pick up after the animal and clean all areas; any found on the premises following departure will result in a reduced security deposit return.  Likewise, if furniture is soiled, it will be professionally cleaned at the Guest's expense.  Should the cleaning service find droppings and/or damage caused by the animal anywhere, the cleaning and/or defecation removal will be at the Guest's expense.  Any repair, cleaning and the like inside or outside caused by animals will be deducted from the Guest's security deposit.

 

Q. Is there a maximum number of people?

A. Yes.  Palm Springs Cottage can accommodate up to 4 people maximum.

 

Q. Do you accept credit card payments?

A. Yes, we accept credit cards.  Our booking form is integrated with third party payment services. Guests can book and pay via this website. You can book a vacation rental quickly, securely and with confidence.

 

Q. Is there tax charged with each reservation?

A. Yes, the city of Palm Springs requires transient tax.  This amount is 11.5% of the taxable total charged for up to 28 consecutive days.

 

Q. Is there a utility or pool heating charge?

A. Yes.  For simplicity, we've combined utility charges into one daily fee:  $30 a day covers everything.

 

Q. Can I bring my children?

A. Yes.  For safety reasons, there is an age restriction.  Kids under 12mo or over 12yo are allowed with adult supervision.  The rule is in effect for insurance and liability reasons.

 

Q. Where is the vacation rental home located?

A. Palm Springs Cottage is located in the center of town in Ruth Hardy Park (Movie Colony East).

 

Q. Is the pool heated?

A. Yes.  The salt pool (while heating) is set to a comfortable 84 degrees.  The heater runs at the same time as the filter from 9am - 2pm daily (approx).  The heater/filter (on/off) system/timer is not adjustable.

 

Q. What amenities are offered?

Q. Is there a cleaning fee?
A. Yes.  The cleaning fee is $160.  These fees are required and not negotiable.

 

Q. Is there a cancellation policy?
A. Yes. In the event that Guest must cancel the reservation, Guest must notify Owner in writing as soon as possible.  If written notice is received within least 60 days prior to Guest’s arrival date, advanced payments will be refunded, less a $100 cancellation fee.  If cancellation occurs within 30 days of Guest’s arrival date (including last minute reservations made within 30 days of arrival), any refund is subject to the ability to re-license the Premises. Every effort will be made to re-license the Premises.  If the Premises is not re-licensed, the refund amount, if any, shall be at the Owner’s discretion.  If the Premises is re-licensed, monies received, less a $100 cancellation fee, will be refunded.  No credit will be issued in the case of early departure.  There is a $25 charge for returned checks.  Owner reserves the right to revoke this offer if the signed contract and negotiated fees are not received by Owner within 14 days from the date of the Agreement, or if the Guest attempts to negotiate a counter offer.  Should Guest pay using PayPal, Guest understands and agrees that no PayPal chargebacks of any kind are permitted.  Owner deems unauthorized chargebacks as consumer fraud and will proceed to collect monies due to Owner by any means necessary at Guest's expense.
